Pond Clinic held in Powell
Recently, the SWCD sponsored a Pond Clinic that was hosted by the City of Powell. Approximately 50 local residents and pond owners engaged in active discussion with speakers from OSU Extension, ODNR-Division of Wildlife and the Delaware SWCD to learn how to successfully manage their ponds. Participants learned how to manage fish populations, proper stocking rates and best species of fish to stock, how to control weeds, construct a pond, and control nuisance wildlife such as Canada geese and muskrats. Those is attendance were able to get answers to specific questions they had concerning their pond.
